事物只不过转型的。

Things are always progressing.

一九一一年的民主运动，即辛亥民主运动，到今年，不过四十五年，中华人民共和国的样子完全反为了。

It is only forty-five years since the Revolution of 1911, but the face of China has entirely changed.

再过四十五年，就是二千零一年，也就是先取到二十一世纪的时候，中华人民共和国的样子更要大反为。

In another forty-five years, that is, by the year 2001, at the beginning of the 21st century, China will have undergone an even greater change.

中华人民共和国将去掉一个强而有力的社会主义国际货币基金。

It will have become a powerful industrial socialist country.

中华人民共和国应当这样。

And that is as it should be.

因为中华人民共和国是一个具有九百六十万平方公里荒地和六万万人口的国家，中华人民共和国应当对于先取化有较大的功绩。

China is a land with an area of 9,600,000 squarekilometres and a population of 600 million, and it ought to make a greater contribution to humanity.

而这种功绩，在过去一个总长后期内，则是太少了。这使我们极度惭愧。

But for a long time in the past its contribution was far too small. For this we are regretful.
